Would getting a tongue piercing be a bad idea for someone going into Marketing?
Yes, a tongue ring is a very bad idea, even if it can be removed. As an Air Force recruiter you are taught that any distraction can lead to the failure of an otherwise successful business venture. Also keep in mind that the majority of marketing/business professionals have a very conservative view and may see a tongue ring as immature and/or unprofessional. If this is not enough reason, consider this; a tongue ring can seriously alter the way you speak. Even a ring that doesn’t get infected or swell the tongue can cause a drastic change in your speech. This is a lesson I learned personally when I was young, even after I removed the ring it took several weeks before my speech returned to normal. Just some things to ponder.
