Would frequent flyer miles have broad appeal for reward purposes within employee recongition and incentive programs?
This was selected as Best Answer Hi Greg, I think the answer is yes and no. I would suspect that our Execs already have more miles than can be used. I think for the employee who travels quite a bit this would have appeal with the caveat that it is darn near impossible to get a seat on a plane. For those who do not travel much or cannot get away when the miles can be used, this would be of little value. The other issue is geography. Certain airlines are “hubbed” in certain locations so I would think the miles would have to be for the most prevalent airline in the area. All in all, I would rather give an airline voucher that could be used to either buy a ticket or offset the cost of a trip. That is much more user friendly to me. Thanks for the question.
