Would exessive play in ball joints increase tyre wear on a 2004 Jeep Liberty?

I have only done 14500 miles and all tyres are very low. Jeep have just replaced the ball joints under warranty but say that it would not affect the tyre wear. I’m just not so sure. Many thanks. A: Definitely, any suspension or steering problem can affect tire wear. The reason they said it doesn’t, was to avoid having to pay for new tires. They would probably consider it a normal wear item like brakes or belts. Chances of them doing anything for you…slim to none. Good Luck!
