K&N is a well-respected filter company with good products. In my experience, the filters do a good job. As far as increasing the diameter of the snorkel, the restriction is going to be at the diameter of the throttlebody opening. A larger diameter snorkel will not gain anything beyond the diameter of the TB. The idea is to get denser air, thus more air, into your engine through the current opening. If you want to change the snorkel, try to find one with as few bumps and ridges as possible. This will keep the speed of the air racing through the snorkel high with few collisions. Opening the airbox on this model will most likely cause a decrease in performance as it will start sucking in heat-saturated air from the engine compartment. Ideally, you want cold, dense air going into your engine. If you have any parts of your snorkel which are smaller in diameter than the opening of your throttlebody, it’s time for an aftermarket part. Chances are, the air intake system is already pulling in c
