Would doing a TFP lingerie shoot ruin a models career?
I wouldn’t use it in a portfolio or online if that’s not the direction you want to go in your career. Of course not all lingerie shoots are sleazy, but it can typecast you if that’s all you are doing and those are the only pictures you have to show people. People like Cindy Crawford and Heidi Klum didn’t start in lingerie, neither did Gisele, Adriana Lima, etc. They were already established runway/editorial models before they did lingerie or nude photos so it wasn’t going to affect their career. If you haven’t worked with this photographer before and this is your first shoot, I wouldn’t start with lingerie. You need to first build up a comfort level with the camera. Start with a few headshots and shots in casual clothing or evening wear for your first few shoots. Then if you get along well with the photographer and like the pictures, then do a lingerie shoot at a later date.
