My aquascaping currently consists of a loose live rock wall undulating directly down the center of the tank that the more active fish swim through, with two “caves” at either end of the tank that are currently occupied by the Tuskfish and the eel. (This works quite well ascetically and apparently gets a “fins up” from my existing mix)
