Would Daryl Pepito do a “Gilbert Arenas”?
I think one of the reason that Daryl Pepito was not drafted is because no one in the PBA Draft knows his personal ability as a proven ball handler. Ok, they might read some scouting report about this guy but to see him play in the PBL for example might gave him enough exposure so that teams in the PBA might notice his talent and potential. In a Coaching perspective i rather stick on selecting a proven and popular guy in the Collegiate and Amateur rank rather than picking a mystery guy in the PBA Draft. For the reason that i do not want to gamble my pick on a guy who does not even impress some scouts in the draft camp. I do not say that he is not impressive in the Rookie Camp but i guess he is a little bit undersize to play in the PBA.
