Would chocolate brown hair dye show on my dark brown hair?
There are only two things you can do to colour of your hair: make it darker or make it lighter. Nothing more. That is basic fact. In order to make the hair lighter, you need to REMOVE colour pigments from your hair. That is bleaching. We use different words to say the same thing, but they all mean the same thing– removing colour from hair. That is the meaning of bleaching. There simply is no other way. Bleaches come in various different forms, each designed for a different purpose and each will lighten a different amount of levels. You need to use the right one to get the results you want! And yes, you can get any colour you want… as long as you know what that colour is. Be sure you have a good clear picture of the exact shade you want. Chocolate means various things… and the colourist may have a different idea than you do. Have your consultation first, and be sure you have clearly determined the colour you are going to get. This will avoid a lot of disappointment.
