Would Britain take in Icelandic evacuees on a medium term basis when Katla Volcano erupts?

It is highly unlikely that whole Iceland will have to be evacuated when Katla erupts. A couple of villages may have to be evacuated and in that case there is plenty of other places in Iceland where the evacuees could stay. I doubt there will be any refugees to other countries. Katla has erupted many times before and although those eruptions did cause many problems, it was not necessary for people to leave the country and I believe we would be better equipped to handle the situation now than in previous Katla eruptions. In the highly unlikely case that Icelanders would have to leave the country, I think most would go to the other Nordic countries. However, if such an extreme situation would arise, I would hope that all of our neighbouring countries would be willing to help to the best of their ability, regardless of financial disputes.
