Would botanical stem cells work on humans?
No, no and no. It’s the stupidest thing I’ve heard in a long time. Botanical stem cells would do nothing to protect human skin, and neither would human stem cells or any type of stem cells if applied directly on to the skin. It’ll be even more useful than your average anti aging cream, and you’d be better off just smearing some random plants on you face. At least then you wouldn’t have to pay anything. What they claim in the other link is basically that these plant stem cells have renewable effects on human skin stem cells. Now, I doubt very much that this is true (I have NEVER heard of this being used, or even tried), but even if it was it would still be useless to put these cells on your skin as some anti aging treatment. Our skin is composed of several layers, where the stem cells are at the very bottom. The cells in the top layers are made specifically to make sure nothing gets through to the other layers, so whatever useful compound that might be in these cells cannot reach the sk
