Would anyone buy cake toppers on etsy?
Actually there is a huge market for it. The problem is the cost. Most people say they can’t do it for less than like $75 per cake topper. So most people don’t go for it when they can get hundreds of premade choices for less. But my sister would have loved to get a custom made one. Something beachy where you could have made her a brunette and him a redhead. But really we couldn’t find any of them. So I know there is a market for it b/c the ones I saw on ebay were selling like crazy. Sell the finished product. Put a picture of 3 finished ones you have and tell people to send a picture of them so you can make it a little thinner/a little thicker, darker hair, darker skin tone…I mean it’s clay so it’s going to be silly but they are hard to make. How-to doesn’t make up for the skill that is required. Sell them for about $30 each (just a bit more than someone would pay for a topper or flowers but a LOT less than clay figures usually are) and you’ll do well! Good luck!
