Would another European war be good good for jobs in the UK?
no way, a major European war would definately be bad for Britain. firstly unlike the last two wars Britain no longer has an empire to trade with, and with most of our revenue coming from a war torn Europe things would get pretty bad pretty quickly…petrol crisis, lack of fuel, rationing etc etc. second the royal Navy isn’t the 600 ship behmoth of yesteryear and there would be no way of securing trans atlantic trade routes with the US or ensuring that British trade would be uneffective. Thirdly and probably most importantly is the the UK is closely tied to the Contient by a series of treaties and agreements, for example any large scale war would likely involve France and we are still obligated to support France through the entente cordial.
