No, they are going above and beyond if they are did and MRI. Those cost roughly $2,000 per scan. I don’t know a dollar figure for an X-ray but I do know that it is ALOT less than an MRI. Although you should know that if they did an MRI then they are looking for something more serious than just a broken wrist. Most likely some kind of tendon or ligament damage. This is bad because those are made up of cartilage which is avascular – meaning it contains no blood vessels. Thus it takes a super long time to heal…if it ever heals at all.
