Would an Entertainment Business degree be good for Band Managing?
I’m pretty sure the odds of managing a band and them becoming great is lower than being struck by lightning. You’ll have to be prepared to travel, and move a lot, e.g. stereotypical LA, in California. I don’t think the degree will be as important as the networking and people skills aspect of it. Interpersonal skills correlate high with success, even more so than gpa and degrees. Sure you can come out w/ a BA and know theory and what-not, but if you can’t make any friends/connections, and retain them it’s sorta pointless in utilizing your degree.
