Would an application provided through Activant look or function any differently than an internally run enterprise system?

Ideally, ASPs would be virtually identical to running a Activant solution on internally maintained hardware and software. You would still use a workstation that would run the application; however, instead of obtaining the necessary applications from an internal server or your workstation’s hard drive, the hosted applications would be accessed over the Internet or through a dedicated private network. The applications would run and look the same way; they would just be housed in a remote location.
