Would Algebra III instead of Pre-Calculus look bad on my transcript?

It would look worse if the grade in Pre-Cal was lower than a possibly better grade in Alg III (assuming Pre-Cal is a higher level course?). Honestly, colleges don’t always look at every single grade. They try to look at you as a whole but don’t overanalyze what course. It depends on your major but most likely it won’t matter. I had the same prob. in science. I went the Honors/AP route and senior year was supposed to take physics but after the first few classes found that I was completely LOST (even with help). I realized upper level science was not my thing. I ended up going back and taking the 9th grade science that I skipped despite my counselor warning me, “it doesn’t look right!” I still did great in college (and still got the scholarships I had hoped to get)…and did better in college science b/c had a prof who helped it make more sense. I didn’t end up going into science despite my sci prof encouraging me to. In the end, it really didn’t matter (and, lol, MY class looked worse t
