Would Al Gore make a fine president?
Yes if you want a man with a clean history in terms of drinking, partying, and womanizing. Yes if you want a man that is honest and cares enough about this planet and its people to try to make a difference. Yes if you want a man that has tried to serve his fellow man to the best of his ability. Yes if you want a man that is not a war mongerer. Yes if you want a good man that values his wife, his children and his parents. Yes if you want a man that is basically honest. Yes if you want a man that has the intelligence to write and publish books. No if you want a man that is like George Bush.
I’m a lifelong Democrat but I don’t want Gore to be president unless there’s no better alternative. Last time he ran, he played too much to interest groups instead of having a clear message. Now he’s produced a good film on the environment, but I want to know how he intends to build a political majority in Congress to make serious changes; and I also really want to know how he will deal with Iraq and with immigration issues. I’m sick and tired of politicians who try to please everyone and avoid upsetting anyone, and unfortunately I see Gore in that group.
