I LIVE in Scotland so I know what you mean re the cold however im not sure about a veil and a shrug really, I would think one or the other. What to do is take your veil with you to a shop and try on a SHruG from like monsoon or something and see what you think for yourself. If you really need something I would think more of a nice pashmina that you could kind of drape round your arms. Im sure you have braved many a saturday night out here – go on you can do it!
