Most food crops and grains start germinating when soil temperature is at 65/4.11 degrees, lettuce greens go to seed when soil temperatures reach 85/15.2 degrees. Photosynthesis plateaus at 94/20.2 degrees , then decreases to death of the plant at 110/29.1 degrees. As you can see so called “longer” growing seasons would mean that temperatures will start getting hotter before the crops are fully mature, resulting in decreased yields.

Yes, it would be bad. We know from studies of the past that modest overall temperature increases have caused global havoc.
