Would a live lobster from a grocery store make a good pet….kinda like a fish?
I’ve always wanted a lobster from the grocery store XD! Well they’re pretty much as big as they get, they can grow but its not likely in a home aquarium. you’ll need 100-130gallon, all the equipment for a saltwater tank, just keep one, Lobsters, like crabs will eat almost anything, lettuce, chicken etc. Many scientists agree that lobsters will live forever as long as they’re not damaged or what not. Concidering they’re the exact same as they were millions of years ago. Only keep one. BUT! Here is a great site with FRESHWATER lobsters, easier to keep, smaller tanks etc, etc =)! hahahaha better than the grocery stores, oh by the way you can get most small crawfish in petstores [which to me are basically smaller lobsters] =) enjoy. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/aquar… oh, by the way if you really are interested in marine lobsters here’s some that you might be interested in that are recom
No they would not make a good pet.You will have to remove them for cleaning the aquarium every so often they do get large and they have a pincher. You would need a large aquarium, that is a fair layout of money. Why don’t you go to the pet shop and look around hermit crabs are nice and look similar out of their shells.Ask lots of questions get a book and your son can have a great hobby. There are tropical crabs live in a water aquarium and very colorful, they are about 4 inches long and a very beautiful royal blue your son might love them. you can buy them at pet shop or from Doctors Foster and Smith on line with over night shipping. They will also send You a catalog if you request one.You can go on line and see for your self.Enjoy!
