Would a leaking heater core make my car overheat?

Yes. So would broken water pumps and clogged coolant tubes/piping. The heater core is usually inside the car behind the passenger’s dash. You can pop your hood, and see where 2 tubes go into your car from your engine bay… Tubes are usually black. These go to your heater core. Check them for leaks with the car on… Make sure the car is cooled off before you tamper with them… When they go into here, usually they’re either exiting the heater core, or coming straight from the engine SUPER hot. Let the car cool off a good while. Let alone when it’s hot it’s under a lot of pressure. SO much pressure it can hit you in the face and burn your eye balls… Okay well if not the heater core or any other coolant tubes, do a flush, then check water pump.
