Would a horse-drawn carriage ride be too much for a first date?
Yes. A horse-drawn carriage would be very excessive for a first date. However, if it is cheap then it would make for an excellent first date. The only problem is, taking a horse-drawn carriage only to then go have coffee is a weak follow up. I would say either you go get coffee or if you want to go that extra mile, do the horse-drawn carriage and then do something special afterwards. Also remember, if you go all out on the horse-drawn carriage, it can get expensive and also you are setting the bar for your dates very high. This means if you then decide to go to the movies, or something like that it will be almost like a downgrade. I would advise you skip the horse-drawn carriage altogether, and look for something else that is more budget friendly and suitable for a first date.
