You should just have your baby in a normal baby car seat with built in harness until they don’t fit anymore. And rearward facing until at least a first year, it’s so much safer. The sort of car seat you are talking about I just moved my 2.5year old son into. Yes they say you can put a baby in from 6 months but having a 6 month old as well myself I wouldn’t put him in it. The seat is physically a lot bigger than a regular car seat and doesn’t have the same side protection as a regular baby seat. These seats hipod & maxi rider are really made to fit the new laws, so your child is in a seat with built in harness until 4 years. I would say 2-4 years or older. So just turn your regular car seat to the front when 1 or so years. Save your money, these ones cost a lot.
