Would a foreign exchange student be an extrovert?
An extrovert is someone who puts themself forward with confidence. A foreign exchange student may assume that role, but often they do not, because they feel “out of place.” One of the results of a foreign exchange program is to develop the confidence in the student so that he/she may return to their home country having learned that they are very much like other people in the world–thereby raising their own self confidence, and becoming more involved with others; i.e., extroverted.
