Would a First-Class Honours in Oxford be different to a First-Class Honours in London South Bank?

All degree courses have the same uniform difficulty at each University. There is no such thing as a University that offers a more difficult or better degree than another. For example a degree in the social sciences from Oxford has the same difficulty as a degree in the social sciences from a Polytechnic or Metropolitan University. One of the central reasons Oxford and Cambridge University are regarded as ‘better’ universities is due to the fact they have high entry requirements and as such have low drop-out rates, in addition to higher student achievement. At the end of the day, employers look at a person’s A-Level / Higher results and classification of Honours degree, rather than where the person studied.
