The pediatric formulation of Engerix-B is not licensed by FDA for use in adults. Adults 20 years of age and older should receive 1 mL (20 mcg) of the adult formulation of Engerix-B. With Recombivax HB, two pediatric doses can be used in place of an adult dose, because Recombivax is licensed for that usage.
