Would a conservatory with polycarbonate windows be expensive to heat?

Yes,it would be expensive.Conservatories with double glazed windows are obviously better as long as the roof is made from a reasonably good insulating material, which is not often the case, and they can be a pig to keep warm in winter. Also you`d have to check what sort of heating you could use out there because I don`t think you can run extra rads to a conservatory unless it complies with insulation regulations. If you like the house why not put the conservatory on a list of spring jobs and take time to make it a usable room? Good luck .
