Would a Conservative government introduce English only votes on matters that only directly affect English constituencies?
May: Well, we certainly believe that we have to do something about the West Lothian question as it is called, the issue of Scottish MPs who don’t have responsibility for issues like health and education in their own constituencies but can vote in the Westminster Parliament. We had a policy at the last election of English votes on English issues and this is an issue we are looking at and we will be making a proposal to deal with the West Lothian question.
