Bluetooth USB adapters connect to devices that make connections by Bluetooth. If the Bluetooth device you connect to through your Bluetooh USB on on your notebook is connected to the Internet , and it permits other devices connected to it to access the Internet, then it is possible. What you are talking about is a wireless 802.11 b/g/n adaptor that probably works off a USB adaptor. This would let you see other devices that operate 802.11-specified signals, namely wireless routers. Wireless routers may be connected to the internet, but your access to the wireless router may not be free: that is, you may need a password or network key (like a password) to connect to them and to get an IP address. Your best bet at getting free access is to go to a public “hot spot” and seeing if you get an IP address without a network key or other authentication scheme.
