Would 8 months 12 days pregnancy be early or rare?”
Pregnancy is usually dated in weeks, so lets convert 8 months and 12 days to weeks. 8 months is 34 weeks 5 days, plus add the 12 days and you get 34 weeks and 17 days or 36 weeks and 3 days… So is it early or rare to give birth at 36 weeks and 3 days? Early yes, Rare, no. I was told with my last pregnancy that 36 weeks was “almost” full term, and if I went into labor on my own after 36 weeks, they wouldn’t stop my labor. But keeping in mind full term is 40 weeks and some women go, 42 weeks, 36 weeks is early. Now is it rare? No, it isn’t rare to deliver early. Babies tend to do quite well when they are delivered at 36 weeks. Their lungs may not be fully developed and may need some extra care after birth. I suggest talking with your doctor and a pediatrician about the risks that your baby faces with an early delivery.
