Would 1-3 Platies do well with Harlequin Rasboras?
Platys will be fine when added to a tank with schools of rasboras. The harlequins might get chased about a little bit because the platys can get grumpy about food and territory, but with a large enough school (8-10) there’s no real risk whatsoever. I would suggest some cory cats for the bottom level, since they’re tough as nails and come in lots of great color morphs. Dwarf gouramis also come in amazing colors and do well as a centrepiece fish. Some people will also go with silver sharks, despite the fact they get big. If you can handle the necessary water parameters, I suggest a bolivian butterfly or ram cichlid because of the amazing color and fins. Smaller groups (4) of larger tetras will also occupy the mid range of your tank well, like congos or serpaes (colors are amazing at the same water parameters for the ram cichlids), but they’re also known fin nippers. You could also get cherry shrimp if you went with a smaller centrepiece fish, because they’re good little cleaners and add
