If you have Mac OS X 10.4 or later and your clocks don’t use the system time format despite you have set them to use the System Setting format, you should make sure you have thoroughly customized times in the Language & Text or International pane of System Preferences. Open System Preferences and click Language & Text on Mac OS X 10.6 and International on Mac OS X 10.5 or earlier. Click the Formats tab and then the Customize button in the Times section to display the time format customization dialog. Edit the medium time format so that it is consistent with the short format and click OK.
