Wood pellets come in plastic bags. How green is that?
We had that same question – which is why we offer bulk pick up and delivery options in addition to bagged pellets. All our bags are made from #4 (LDPE) plastic. This is the same plastic used in grocery bags – and you can recycle your wood pellet bags in the same bin where you return your plastic grocery bags. We prefer the greener solution, which is bulk. It costs just as much to provide pellets in bulk or in bags, but bulk is much greener. Bring your bulk containers to us and we’ll load your pellets directly into them. Or let us provide you with reusable containers or a bulk bag system for your garage or barn.
