Won’t the restructuring of the middle schools and the planned restructuring of the high schools save us money?

The restructuring that took place at the middles schools and that is underway at the high schools was initiated because the district has been faced with budget deficits for several years running. Cuts in state funding as well as ballooning health care and retirement costs made the restructuring necessary. Our funding has increased at one-half the rate of inflation over the last eleven years. Failure of the School Operating Millage would only exacerbate the budget crisis in our schools.
