General contractors should not incur any additional costs under the new program, as the compliance procedures will be substantially the same as under our current SBE program. Therefore, general contractors should be familiar with those procedures. In addition, many of the same firms that will be certified as M/WBEs are already certified as SBEs or DBEs.
