Research Councils and Government Departments are expecting to pay more for University Research, and other funders understand the Government’s aim of putting research onto a sustainable basis, so the answer is no! It is also worth remembering that there is a difference between cost and price: the move to fEC does not change the fact that price remains a matter for the University to determine.
