No. Students must complete robot design, construction and programming long before TAKS testing. Teachers must impound work by March 20, 2010, and not let students touch it again until the day of the competition. This will ensure that students give undivided attention to their TAKS tests. Not all schools require the suspension of extracurricular activities prior to TAKS tests, but some do. This impound procedure will ensure that no student is disadvantaged in the competition because of school policies.
