All e-permits have supporting records connected to them. Law enforcement can look up these electronic records. If they find that an e-permit doesn’t have a record or the record doesn’t match the vehicle, law enforcement can issue charges of fraudulent activity. E-permits are printed on regular paper so all dealerships can use the system with paper purchased locally.
