Water licences will only be purchased from willing sellers and will not effect the existing or future allocation of other licenceholders. The volume of water that will be purchased under the NSW Wetland Recovery Program will represent only a very small proportion of the total licensed volume in both the Gwydir and Macquarie valleys.
