Without actually going there, how can I tell if a property is located near towns and amenities or in some isolated area?
A. Read carefully and look at the maps and photos. Make sure that the photos are associated with the property in question. You can tell much by photographs when they depict the correct area. If you see housing, look at the type of construction and how well it is maintained. Note the condition of the streets or roads. If you see utility poles and/or fire hydrants, chances are the property is near the most common city services. Larger trees usually indicate longer-established neighborhoods.
