With the state of the housing market and the publicized decline of housing values, why should I even consider any investment in real estate?
This is certainly a logical question. However, it is clear that the public is quick to jump on a “great” investment and quick to bail out of something perceived to be a poor investment. Real estate has always been a sound investment for investors that KNEW what they were doing and did not let GREED dictate their decisions. The primary reason for the housing crisis is due to foreclosures which have been caused by defaults of poor, high adjustable rate mortgages. Poor borrowers received 100% adjustable rate mortgages and once housing values stopped increasing in value, borrowers were not able to sell and subsequently faced foreclosure.
