With the possibility of cutting 7th grade sports, has there been any talk of intramurals for 7th graders?
Yes, we have talked about this a little, but will explore it in greater detail. We will also talk with the City and local organizations to see if they would be willing to pick up intramurals at the 7th grade level. Doesn’t it cost more to run Big Blue than yellow buses? When the district uses Big Blue, the monies paid to the Athletic Booster Club come right back to our students who participate in activities. The money we pay to the bus company doesn’t. We pay for the fuel for the bus either way. Phase 2 When would Phase 2 be implemented? It’s difficult to predict when Phase 2 cuts might begin. The State could decide to withhold money at any time next year. As you look at the lists of potential Phase 2 cuts, there are items that would be easier to cut mid-year than others. As we work on the Phase 2 list, we’ll try to organize them into various levels. For instance, if the State withholds $500,000, here’s the list of things that would be cut; if they withhold, $1 million, here’s the list
