With liberal politics alive, how can conservatism be dying?
Ms Charen, As usual your missives stimulate my mind and allow me to think and process. My feelings aren’t crushed when I disagree with a portion or all and it neither angers me. It gives me fodder in which to enlighten myself. Perhaps this style of writing is meant to stimulate the “Democrats are bad, so, being only one choice remaining, the Republicans must be good.” Methinks the conservative movement was improperly linked to the Republican Party and one pulled the other below, drowning both. What difference does it make anyway, but I see strong evidence the Republican were not beaten in the last election but merely committed suicide long before anyone went to the polls. This country has no acknowledged written constitution so, “a stroke of the pen is the law of the land.” This has overfilled Washington, state and local politics with unfiltered and unbridled corruption.
