We supply installation instructions with the unit when purchased. Since the hydrogen being produced in the TAP Fuel Saver unit is not under compression, volatility is less concern than driving with a gas tank. We lit a match at the end of the outlet tubing – got a ‘popping’ sound that went out immediately. If you lit gasoline fumes in a similar way – you’d have a big problem. Install the TAP Fuel Saver unit according to instructions then the unit only turns on when the engine is running. When you turn your key off – the unit turns off.
