With Chessex out, if I play Desperation as one of my two Events, do I get to play yet another Event?

A15.6 Desperation will let you play another Special card so you can use this with Chessex to play two Situations in one turn. However, if you play Desperation as the first Event, then play another Event, you have satisfied the Chessex by playing two Events. If the second Event was Desperation, then you can play another Event thanks to the Desperation.
