skimmer. The circulation is great in a 40 gallon bin, and the skimmer is miraculously pumping out lots of “salty coffee” twice a day. I tested the ammonia about two days after beginning the curing. Not surprisingly, it was over 6.1 (or something astronomically high…I use the Hagen brand test kit). Now, I waited another two days, tested ammonia again and got the same result. I did a very conservative water change of about 10 gallons or so two days ago.
