Actually, no. Snowflake was founded in 1878 by Erastus Snow and William Jordan Flake. They’re they “Snow” and “Flake” in “Snowflake”. While it does snow, it’s usually not very much. Towns higher in the White Mountains tend to get the brunt of storms.
