Windows Notepad opens when I attempt to Activate Tridef 3D Experience – What do I do?
If Windows Notepad opens when you attempt to Activate (or a .hta error dialog appears), this indicates that your file association for .hta files is invalid. Until this is resolved, you will not be able to run the TriDef software. You can try updating the setting manually or updating/installing a new browser to try to resolve this. To manually update the association yourself, please follow the instructions specified below: 1.0) Using Windows Explorer, if you have installed your TriDef software to the default location open the following folder: C:\Program Files\TriDef3D\TriDef\Common 2.0) Right-click on the file: TriDefActivator.hta and select “Open With” 3.0) Click the “Browse” button 4.0) Go to the following folder: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ 5.0) Locate the file: mshta.exe and click open. Then restart the TriDef software.
