Accessing Performance mode on the Roland JV-1010 is rather obtuse and difficult to do. So here are 3 ways how to go about it. Please keep in mind that many of the factory Performances and Patchman Performances are set up to respond to MIDI channel 1 only. The following is from the Roland website at: http://support.rolandus.com/helpdesk/index.php?HD_ID=101301 The only way to access the Internal and User Performances that reside inside the JV-1010 is through MIDI, by sending Bank Select and Program Change messages on the Performance Control Channel. Internal, user and expansion board patches can all be accessed from the front panel. Internal and User Performance memories can not be accessed from the front panel. Use the following steps to set the Performance Control Channel: • 1. Press VOLUME and VALUE simultaneously to enter the Edit Mode. • 2. Turn the CATEGORY/BANK knob to RHYTHM&SFX. • 3. Turn the VALUE knob to select the desired MIDI channel. • 4. Press VOLUME and VALUE simultaneous
