Will WorkSafe WA continue to exist?
Yes. The intention is for the model WHS Bill and model Regulations to be introduced into WA as the new law for occupational health and safety applicable in this state. The WorkSafe Division of the Department of Commerce will continue to be the agency that regulates those laws by assisting those in workplaces to understand their duties and responsibilities and, where necessary, taking appropriate action to ensure compliance.
